Reflexology for Stress Reduction & Relaxation
Relax with Reflexology

I am a practitioner of the Ingham method of Reflexology.

Following the work of Zone Therapy by William Fitzgerald in the early 1900’s Eunice Ingham discovered the use of alternating pressure to produce healing. Reflexology was evident in many ancient cultures, Eunice Ingham is credited with being the mother of modern Reflexology.

During a reflexology session a specific pressure technique applied by the thumb and fingers to the client’s feet, hands or ears stimulates the reflex points in the body.

These reflex points correspond to every organ and gland in the body.

During a Reflexology session I combine massage with gentle pressure to the reflex points of the feet.

I usually start a session with a foot bath using essential oils to soften and relax the feet. I usually complete a Reflexology session with “the Brazilian Toe Massage” a stimulating energy technique creating an energy circuit between my fingers and the clients toes which flows through the meridians balancing the bodies energy, releasing energy blockages.

Clients are asked to wear loose comfortable clothing as they remain dressed while lying on a treatment table. A Reflexology session is deeply relaxing.

A session usually lasts one hour with time for discussing any health issues, planning the reflexology treatment, assessment and expected outcomes.

A number of Reflexology treatments are usually required to gain the most benefit from Reflexology.

Lifestyles, stress and illness can cause congestion in the circulatory, digestive, lymphatic, and nervous systems, reflexology promotes a gentle energy flow which allows the body to return to a state of balance.
